My review of Annie Bellet’s Goodnight Stars
How do you deal with the world when you can no longer see the sky?
“Goodnight Stars” by Annie Bellet, from The End is Now, was a 2015 Hugo Award nominee for Best Short Story. The nomination was withdrawn by author.
A really good little short story about family and surviving hard times. Not overly in depth, but then a short story usually isn’t. It made a real emotional connection with me. Too bad she withdrew this story for consideration for this year’s Hugo ballot as it is an excellent piece and worthy of being included, probably had an excellent chance at winning.
