My review of the short story A Bit of Bite

A Bit of Bite cover

A killer is stalking the streets of Crossroads, Mississippi, and it’s up to Sheriff Ava Dushaine to stop him. But when suspicion falls on werewolf alpha Julian Kasey—Ava’s ex-lover and the man who still haunts her dreams—Ava knows that she’ll either have to prove his innocence…or watch the whole town go up in flames.

Originally part of an Entangled anthology.

Meh. I didn’t really care for it all that much. Werewolves, sex and jealousy that I just didn’t think came together all that well. While not expecting a great deal of depth in a short story, this could have benefited from an extra couple of pages in order to grant some depth to the characters and story. I didn’t care for any of the characters. Ava didn’t seem particularly good at her job and the back story of how she got it didn’t make sense. Julian seemed much to overbearing and controlling (as in she’s my property type of thing). Once again, like A Blood Seduction there was more sex than what I normally read. This story was not for me.

The eBook was formatted well with no obvious errors.
